Please welcome another member of the blown tranny club. Just accelerating from a red light and I feel a jerk and the D5 light on the gauges start flashing and the check engine light comes on. Awesome :thumbsdn:

Car's out for a week and I can't get a loaner. Talked to the dealership and they said that Acura doesn't give out loaners anymore (bulls**t). Called Acura and they said all they could do is file a case. What is the best way for me to possibly get a loaner from Acura somehow?

I just got my car back after a week w/o. My local Acura dealership set me up with a rental car (Acura was out of loaners) they pay up to $30 a day..so I had to pay $5 a day to "upgrade" from a POS neon. My advice would be to talk to the service manager first...tell him this a warranty issue and Acura is responsible for supply’n you with transportation. If the still are fighting you on it I would go right on up the food chain to Acura. There is no reason that you should not be given a car to drive. I was in a rental for a week. My dealer got me this



I could of had a Galant, Neon, Aveo, or Dakota. If all you got is a neon, your dealer needs to negotiate a better deal with the rental company, or get them to pick up the $5/day.

I only had an Acura loaner once, when I made an appt, was paying for service, and requested it. A dealer can't have a fleet of Acura loaners to cover all vehicles in for service/repairs. The way some people respect loaners, I can see why a dealer does not have any at all.

I would not of expected an Acura loaner. For the week I would of had it, 12 other paying customers could of used it.

Try speaking to a manager at the dealer.

From what I remember, you’re going to school in my area right?
If so, you’re dealing with Lehigh Valley Acura.

I’ve been a customer there since 1992 and they provide great service and loaner cars for everything from scheduled services all the way down to a simple oil change.
Maybe it’s your AGE that’s a problem or the fact that you didn’t buy the car there.

I still feel that ANY Acura dealer should be providing a loaner for something as major as a Tranny replacement.

If you're going to have the car for more then a day they don't give out Acura loaners.... but they should hook you up with a rental car. When my tranny went that's what my dealer did (took it to PAA).

hey all...my car has like a jerking filling at 4th when I'm accel. more than normal. its really bad when I'm going on the on-ramp and I need to gun it a little.

Is this a sign on my tranny going out?
