Hey guys, i'm new here, just signed up.

I recently purchased an 01 cl.

When accelerating from first, both first and second gear whine, it sounds like a siren until it gets to third gear then it's normal.

Also, when slowing down for a stoplight or sign, if it shifts down to first, once in a while it'll just come out of gear and i hit the gas and all i hear is rpm's.

But it doesn't do that everytime, apparently the transmission in this car was rebuilt by aamco.

So what am i experienceing?

Well I took it to my local acura dealership, a tech road with me to understand the issue.

He stated it was one of the loudest whines he has heard from a tranny.

So when we pulled back in, he told the lady behind the counter to order a new tranny for my car. So it'll be here monday to get it put in.

I am happy they are taking care of it for me.
