Weird Problem...

When my car is in drive in 4th gear going about 20mph the tach jumps up and down between 700 and 1200 rpm. anyone know what the possible cause is?

oh.. forgot to mention. no mods on the car. 01 acura cls (auto) 85k, 2nd tranny

Your car shouldn't be in 4th gear at 20 miles per hour.... I'd guess the problem starts there...
