Trans replaced at 106K!

Last week my trans started to slip, 2-3 upshift. This was my 2nd trans, 1st one replaced at 26K. Called Acura, they said bring it in. 3 days later got the car back. Good as new, while at the dealer, I also had the 105K service done as well. Timing belt, water pump, s. plugs, steering pump, Tokico blues & Rotora rotors w/ akebono pads. And a set of Nitto 555's. I love my CL!

Ya it feels like a new car!
It was roughly $1000 for the service which includes, timing belt & spark plug replacement.

I find it a little sad that Honda/Acura charge I think $21 a spark plug without labor... You can get the same ones from any auto parts store for about $5 and install yourself for free...

just a thought that I needed to express. The t belt and the pump are a different story though

New axles for my CL were $1400 installed at the dealer, and under $600 at the shop I get my work done at.

Dealer markup is ridiculous.

Isn't there still a good chance that the new tranny will fail though?

the newer units seem to be holding up really well compared to the older ones.
