Tranny troubles
Well, it started on Saturday! Metalic grinding when accelerating from 0 or when tranny shifts at low speed <30mph. This is happening intermittently. It didn't do it when I drove to the dealership this morning about 10 miles, but it did give me problems on Sunday on the way home after driving about 30 miles. My conclusion is that it is happening when the tranny fluid gets hot. The dealer just called and said that they couldn't reproduce the problem after driving it a couple of miles. I suggested that they have one of the guys drive it around for about an hour. I suspect that this is the beginnings of the transmission failure. Has anyone had similar problems. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Dealer was able to reproduce the tranny problem on Monday and they ordered the new transmission and said they would have it by Tuesday and my car would be ready on Wednesday(today). I'll be surprised if they can get the part and have my car ready this quickly. From what I've read on the boards most people have had to wait a couple of weeks. None the less, I'm having fun driving the POS RSX loaner into the ground.

My car was out a week .. took it in Monday evening .. they verified that #2 (which was of the 'fixed design') had seen its last shifting days .. #3 was in Fri morning .. and in the car done by 3pm Fri afternoon - and in my hands by 4pm. I can this much, Honda spent more time making the tranny easy to change than they did making it reliable!
