My buddies TL-P tranny died after about 22,000 mi.
I hope mine never dies, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. :P
Instead I lost $1200 for the 7yr/100k extended warranty.

Mine was also a 7yr/100K warranty and wasn't that high...
Is there someone else you can get a quote from?

And I bought mine last May and already have 23k on it.
I'll be out of my warranty in just over 2 years. (4year 50k mile IIRC). I didn't expect that to be an issue, because Honda products are dependable and you can go 100k+ without any major problems in just about any Honda.
Any except the car that is everything I wanted in a daily driver. The car I happened to buy. The 3.2CL TypeS with it's kamikaze transmission.
