Tranny Advice???

I need some advice from some of you CL experts on here who are in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tranny replacement club. I have a 02 CL Type S with about 80k miles on it. I have recently noticed some slight slippage from gears 2nd to 3rd, nothing too bad, but enough to concern me. I already did an extensive search on "tranny" on this forum and am very well aware of the tranny problems we all face. Another thing is, I bought the car from a small dealership. Would I still be covered under factory warranty? Is my tranny gonna die soon? I hope not, I really love this car! Any suggestions or comments on personal experience would greatly be appreciated. Thanks guys!

You should be covered under the 7 yr/100000 mile. Contact ayour local dealer to get it checked. My tranny would slip occasionally, locked up at about 20mph. it sucked. Io made an appt an took it into Chevy Chase acura in MD and they called me back in two hours to tell me that I needed a new tranny. Gave me a loaner car for a week (06' TSX w/ Navi). Everything seems to be ok. I currently own a 01 CL s type w/ Navi. Good Luck

I have finally joined the 2nd tranny club! I took my car to Cerritos Acura and luckily I was still covered under warranty. They provided me with excellent customer service. I highly reccomend them for anyone in the same area! I dropped my car off on a Saturday evening and received it back the following monday. Pretty good turn around time I would say! They actually gave me a choice of either a 05 TL or a MDX as a loaner. Of course I took the fully loaded TL(pretty nice might I add). They ended up replacing my tranny with a factory rebuilt tranny, new front & right engine mounts, new ecu, updated the timming belt tensioner, and washed my car! The car shifts pretty smooth right now. I'm still breaking it in before I decide to engage in VTEC. Thanks for the input and I recommend anyone with tranny slipage to take it in asap and of course before your warranty expires!
