well to start the d5 light is flashing, my guess is transmission related or electrical related problem. but im no expert

and a differance i have noticed : while driving in automatic downshifting takes its sweet ass time. and i mean....4thgear....................3rdgear........ .......2ndgear.
not just a long reaction time to hitting the peddal then right into 2nd

ive since just avoided being in auto all together.

i would assume that they are related, any1 know if its time for a new tranny, or is it just somthing simple that im just not aware of..

Do you have under 109K miles because if you do take it to Acura and they should give you a new one for free.

 

yeah i have 68k. i just got a new tranny at 64k tho so i was hoping it might be somthing simple.

and somthing that i left out:

i didnt have this problem until after i got it back from getting some work done on it. none of the work was mechanical however. just paint, front bumper, and new wheels and tires.

when i got it back the d5 light was flashing which it wasnt doing before, and soon after i noticed the downshifting problem, which also was not happening prior to the work.

 

no1 else has any input on what this may be?
