so ive already gotten my tranny replace twice. once at 40k once at 72 k

im at 74500 right now and it shoots me a code so i look it up and guess what.. tranny is effed again.. this is soo annoying... its very inconvient. who else wants to vent do it here.. This is the official vent out ur anger thread...
but i still love my cl.

3 trannies already? the 1st wasnt your fault since Acura publicly admitted they crappily designed the auto, but the 2nd and 3rd shouldnt have fixed that.

Bad luck or just a bad driver??? either way, I dont think I would ever buy a used car from u!

i would love to trade it in for a 6sp mt.

but the same wear was put on the 2nd and 3rd time so i dont htink its driver error.... just got unlucky.

will acura put in a 6 speed instead of an auto , i mean if your out of warrenty why bother with the 5spd, pay a bit more and get the 6? will they do it?

Of course, that how they make money.... They make an even trade for your 2001 CL-S and I heard they are upgrading people to the new 2007 TL-S.

I'm on my third tranny and I bought it used, so I don't know if it was replaced before I bought it. The second tranny that Acura put in had a bad differential, so they replaced it and so far, it seems fine.

I do believe that the lemon law states a car is a lemon if you have something replaced three times and the problem still arises after that. I'm not sure if it is by state for this or not...
If I were you, I would tell Acura to replace the car with an '03 6sp or to swap the tranny out with a manual so that you would no longer have this issue. If my tranny went again soon, I would deeply look into doing this myself.
I have heard of people on here that were able to get the dealership to swap it out with a 6spd (might have only been because they knew someone at the dealership, not sure).

People are being sarcastic with referrals to swap the tranny for a 6mt. Acura will not & can not do that. Nor with they give you a "03 6mt" Acura doesn't have them lying around, & lastly lemon law is 3 or more problems in the 1st year or 12K miles of ownership & only on a NEW purchase or lease.

Either live with it or sell/trade the car. Your only options here.
