slight delayed shifting when cold

is it normal for delayed shifting when the tranny is cold? if i start my car in the morning and start driving right away, i notice the shifting is delayed. is this normal, or something to worry about? everything is fine when it is warmed up. i am so damn paranoid with this stupid tranny.

I believe it runs/shifts at a higher rpm to assist in warming up but not 100% sure.

or till the cars warmed up. Just drive it gingerly for a few minutes, it'll be better for the tranny and the engine. but yes it is normal.

yeah it feels slow as molasses to me when its cold (3 degrees in MN). once the temp gauge gets above 1/4 up the dial it starts feeling normal.
