new tranny, didnt even make it home from the dealer!
the tranny started to slip so it was taken in for a new one. a galant loaner = whack. so, my dad picked it up the dealer 8 days later. and he drove it around with the dealer for a few minutes and it was fine. before he even made it home, the tranny died (lasted about 3 miles). so now the CL is back for another week and a half. and better yet, they gave me a taurus loaner! the shit doesnt even have a cd player!!!
fuckin curry acura! the cl only has like 53k. i think this may b the end to my CL, i have a feeling its gonna keep going back, and im just gonna let the car go

hmmm, maybe. i kinda hope that the tranny keeps getting fucked by them and a lemon law cud be had. and then the cl could finally be gone, and a new car cud be on its way. after dealing with this, it makes me not want the car nemore

I felt the same way when my CL was in the shop for the tranny replacement. I wanted to dump it. But once I got it back I realized how much I really like the car. If your 3rd transmission fails I would consult a lemon law lawyer though.

curious to know what curry acura said after there new tranny did not last even 1hr.
I mean come on these guys could not even design a drink holder in the 01, what makes you think there going to get a tranny right.
I just know if and when a new CL Coupe comes out it will be aleast 1yr before i even think of buying 1, not looking to be Guinea pig on a luxury car that is probably going to be somewhere around 35K+.

yea, it really does suck. the first day with the rental however was pretty fun, did a couple of donuts. although im not as crazy as that other kid and his rental (some other thread going on right now)
looks like im really gonna have to push harder on these 06 CL designs so i cud get myself one when my CL is done for. haha

In my old '92 Eclispse I had the tranny replaced at around 80k and the test drive went fine, I was able to drive it home, and an hour up to school with no problems... However it had a bad seal and when I drove it 2 days later in school the car had leaked out almost all of its transmission fluid and the car could hardly even shift out of neutral. It had to be towed an hour back home to the transmission shop to have it fixed...

These are the stories I read and I just cant make myself keep my car. If the 2005 G35C were out already, I'd buy one tomorrow after selling the CLS to Car Max. Right now my tranny is slipping very rarely. Once ever 30 times 3rd is engaged.

no, the taurus BLOWS the galant AWAY. no joke, the taurus drives so smoothly. the steering is a million times better. and the pickup seems ab the same. brakes both suck. taurus tires give up FAST! with better tires and brakes added to a bone dry taurus, id say it could surpasses the galant by far. look wise and quality rise, the galant is better tho. and also its not nearly embarassing driving a galant. lol, this is not worth being discusses. bottom line, i wud rather rock a glant over a taurus when it came to a rental. but the taurus is very smooth and has good steering
