im considering buyinga Cl type S 5 speed automatic, will the transmitton problems effect me. Should i not buy this car because of the tranny problems

transmission problems are small compared to the total amount of CL's out there. I would go ahead and buy it. Its a great car, especially with navi and onstar

You can buy my 2002 .. I have 4800 miles on it and the "fix" to the tranny (a soleniod kit from acura) lasted about 3 weeks and it started 'hunting' for a gear and 'delayed downshifts' .. etc ... all over again .. It wants to be a performance tranny and a luxury tranny but doesn't do either worth a shit!

You want to buy a 5 speed? Like to live dangerously? As for me, ramming this thing into a tree and taking the insurance money is looking good!

Unfortunately, trading this car in after only 5 months would cost me a huge amount of money in loss of value. Although, with the bad trannies in these cars, they have no value anyways .. but I've decided I'm going to ruffle feathers at Acura .. if they are going to piss in my wheaties, I might as well slam a few gallons of water and piss back ....
