Help with Acura Goodwill transmission warranty
Hey guys...We own a 2001 Acura CL Type S with 29,000 garaged and easy-driven miles. My family purchased the car with 13,000 several years ago. We took the car on a long drive of several hours and after driving back to home, the second gear slipped during a shift. I took it to the dealer and after a week of calls with Acura CS...the will not offer any more than 60 percent of the total repair. I need help, I am frustrated and do not feel like I should have to pay. I am five months outside of the extended warranty. I have purchased several new Acura's for me and my family in the last few years. I am a loyal customer.

I just got a new trans on an '01 with 108089 miles on it. Find out the date the car was first sold. Pay for a carfax to get the info. If the car is less than 7 years 9 months old, and has less than 109000 miles on it, they must replace it as per the lawsuit.

My tranny is on its way out. I called DCH Acura in Montclair, NJ when 3rd gear was a minor slip and was told I was out of warranty because the delivery date was in Dec of 2000. Its an 01. What the F%CK!! Now the check engine light is one, it slips when I'm on the highway, then it slips and kicks into gear hard. Reverse delays before it engages....Mann i'm so pissed plus i still have payments. I have 107,XXX
Imma try another dealer. i'll keep u posted

In service date of December 00 is indeed possible for a 01 car since they were on sale starting in september of 00
warranty is 7 years 9 months from the date. December 00 to September 08 was the warranty period.......
See if acura will offer some assistance with the unit......never hurts to ask

Bad news
Acura of Springfiled just informed me that they are not covering my car due to high miles. I have 107, and some change and i'm 3 months out of warranty. and on top of it all i have to pay $360 tomorrow for 6 bull shit ass spark plugs and 2 hours labor. Me and my wife already started looking at new cars and it won't be another Honda/Acura product.
I'll wait to speak to them in person tomorrow to when i give them back their TSX they spoiled me with and pick up my lemon.
