Help!!

hi im a noob...

i was wondering if anyone has any similiar circumatances that can help me out...
im pretty sure my tranny is gone...i have a 03 cl-s auto and while driving it, i was stuck in second gear. then the vsa and the check engine light comes on and i havent driven it since. so i just checked my tranny and the transmission fluids are normal, the color is fine and there was just a light burnt smell but gathering from these posts im reading im pretty sure my tranny is going

here comes my question, im on 53k miles right now. i called acura and they said that my car is second generation and doesnt qualify for the 100k warranty extension. how good is acura and their "good will" to replace it for free being that im less than 3000 miles over the warranty.

any help would be great. im planning on towing it to acura this weekend. thanks in advance...

That sounds like . The extended warranty is at http://world.honda.com/news/2002/4020920.html

Since it says "some" 2003's, I suspect the 6spd is not covered. But yours is an auto. They should pay for the towing and rental car (if a loaner is not available).

Anything less, and I'd call Acura Customer Care at 800-382-2238.

thanks for the info. i just got my car back from the dealership...they covered the tranny replacement. but to my annoyance, they reset my navi and cant get it to work without the code. and for them to retrieve the code they would have to detach my navi for the serial number...and of course they are charging me 100 bucks of labor for that simple task. that is ridiculous...but i guess im happy because they replaced my tranny. im gonna detach the navi myself and then the cust rep said she will give me the code for free if i can get her the serial number. thanks again...

Still sounds like they're trying to squeeze $$$ out of you. They are the ones who disconnected your battery when they worked on your car. They are the ones who should put the the navi & radio codes back in. These components were functioning when you left the car for service, and they should be returned to you in the same operating state.

Like I said before:
