Hey Hey!
So my tranny finally took a poo on my at 60,341 miles. I had kind of expected it b/c after I got all my mods done, well even before that, I drove the living piss out of this beast. I'll tell ya what though, it's pretty dangerous stuff when it happens. My buddy and I were coming back from getting my trunk done (nice custom stereo setup) and doing about 70 on the hwy and suddenly the rpms go from about 2k slowly upto 6k and then drops into a gear and stops dramatically just to resume at about 30 mph!!! It happened about 5 times in a 28 mile trip which normally takes about 30-35 mins came out to be about a little over an hour! Luckily I called Acura roadside assistance and a tow truck was at my house in less then 1/2 hour which was pretty cool. I went to Fresno Acura today, got an 06 MDX (NO acceleration what so ever) as the loaner and the new tranny is on its way no questions asked. The service rep even asked if my car was S/C'ed which I dont know how he WOULDN'T know its not. SO I guess to make this post a little longer chalk me up on the failed tranny list at 60K, and YES I'll still drive it like it's stolen as to get another tranny before the 100K marker. Also, now that I look around on traderonline.com I'm finding A LOT (about 5) of the CLS 6's!!!! WTF?!?! Where were they when I bought mine?!?
