did it again..%^@*!!!!
was at 149,893 miles on my speedometer...driving on a busy road, when the tranny went on me again. i was so mad. for the past couple of days i was noticing the shift from 2nd to 3rd getting a little jumpy, but today it took the final crap. i had to baby it 10 miles to the nearest acura dealership (could only stay in 2nd gear). my first one was replaced at around 65k miles and i thought i lucked out with only having to do one replacement...dang it! all the usual lights came on, and what-not. soooooo....we'll see if the dealership will cover at least SOME of the costs. ill keep ya posted. wish me luck

update: after going to the 2 acura dealerships here in town, as well as calling corporate and pleading my case, acura has declined to offer any help in replacing my tranny. estimated costs were around $4k. I didn't bother getting an exact quote from them because I already got a $1500 quote from another transmission specialty shop for a brand new tranny. the warranty for that transmission would be 12 mo/12k miles. i guess its not that bad - seeing how the CL is no longer my daily driver and my new toyota tundra is. once its fixed, the CL will just be a weekend car.

ha. the funny thing, 6 yrs after the CL was stopped being produced, its still, in my opinion, the best option for a luxury sports coupe in its class out there today. if i was looking for that type of car, i'd consider it, but i got my Tundra now...
