So my syncro went out. I have been grinding 2nd gear a Lil skipping 3rd.. now there's a rattling niose comming from the tranny I know it's gone to make matters worse I just lost 3,5,6 gear speedo is not even moving and now a speed sensor code.
Any suggestions ? I was told i can rebuild but I don't want to put the same stock Parts back in & plus I want LSD don't even know where to start a brand new trans will cost $2600 but the again I will have the same problems done the road . Does the 3rd gen tl 6speed have the same problems? Im tired of driving this Minivan I have no knowledge about transmissions @all and don't don't want to be raped again by ammco no lube .
Please help any input will be wonderful thanks in advance

 

damn man, u have some bad luck lately with your ride. Im sure you will be okay, keep ya head up..
but im thinking of getting a 350z myself...lol

i was gonna say that too, but i didnt know if he made a mistake by bringing that up

 

Just buy you another transmission or be prepared to have a custom one made, only options I see there.

If you get a new tranny or rebuild the one you have with stock replacement parts, you'll be just fine. Honda's 6-Speed tranny's are known for their great shifting and reliability. You just drive your car hard (not saying it's bad, don't we all?) and have over 200,000 miles on it. Rebuild that sucker and your good to go for another 200k.

 

Also, if you choose to rebuild it, check all of the remaining gears and replace all of your tranny seals.
