Woo Hoo!koni + comptech..no camber kit

Just had the alignment done on my Koni Yellows on high perch with the new comptech drop. No camber kits required. A couple of the numbers for the fronts were off originally (I forget which measurements specifically...but they were camber), but nothing that an alignment couldn't fix. The rear camber number were close the limits of the specifications though.

How does the car ride with the new suspension upgrades? does it feel more planted? how does it feel going over bumps, compared to the stock setup?

I have the fronts set to 1/2 a turn...I forget what the shop set the back to...I think 1/2 turn or 3/4 turn, feels a little stiffer than the front. It is noticeably bumpier compared to stock, but it is liveable. The way it was initially set was too much. 1&1/2 turns in front and back on lower koni perch. My body was moving the whole time in the car. Could barely even sip water out of a water bottle! I have the sways installed before the springs so I forget what "stock" is b/c the sway makes it a little bumpier as it is. I notice the bumpiness when going over speedbumps the most...the car is much stiffer. The car feels 'nice' around the bends, it feels nicely planted. I don't know how much the drop is in terms of inches..the drop is even all around. Probably around 2inch in the back and a bit less in the front

Thanks for the info. The stock suspension feels noticeably bumpier in the rear than the front. I want to upgrade to smooth that out without loosing handling in the corners. I'll keep looking through the forums.

It's been a few years since I rode with my CL stock. I got the sways at that time and they made the car a little firmer and less body roll when turning. When the koni's are at 0 turns they are probably almost as soft as stock, probably just a little firmer. The best way is to take a ride in someones car with them on! Of course the car is usually lowered so u will feel the effects of the lowering springs as well so it is hard to tell how much of the harshness is due to the konis and how is due to the springs!
