i'm thinking yes, but not 100% sure.

Judging by RJs Devotion 1pf numbers, (18x8, +52 offset, 64.1 Centerbore) I'd say you should be good. I know my 18x7.5 Inspyres have a +50 Offset and they clear my Rotora BBK Calipers.

As long as the rim spokes don't turn in too much you should be ok. Your rim is now 1" wider then stock, as well as pushed out 2mm.

its mostly about the spoke and lip design. how deep is the lip, 53 seems very high for any other company, and if the spokes are flat instead of curved, then you might not make it. You can actually put the wheel face down on carpet or something and place a flat piece of wood down across the hub, then measure from the wood to the back of the spoke, if it is about 1" give or take .25", it has a much better chance of fitting.

These are the actual wheels, this is another members pic so I hope he doesn't mind I use it.

Worse case scenario, if they did not fit over the caliper, couldn't you put a 3mm spacer and call it a day?

its iffy. my racing hart C2s wont clear a BBK and they are 19x8 +50. call or email rotora for a fitment guide and get your wheels measured by a wheel shop. they can let you know for sure to the exact millimeter.

could someone explain further why they wouldnt fit?

is it the offset? cause don't the stock cl-s rims even fit?!
i thought the offset of 45+ for larger/wider rims was required so that it wouldnt rub against the fender.

please shed some light for me, thanks.

The rims will fit the CL just fine, but some wheels have different spoke designs that will not let the bigger brake caliper fit from a big brake kit. That's what the OP is talking about.
