Best Coilover Setup. . .

Hey, I'm looking to get some coilovers, but dont know which ones to go with. I want something thats smooth and handles and rides as nice as stock. I was gunna go with the Tein Basics, but then I heard they're way too stiff and uncomfortable to have on a daily driver. Then I heard the Tein SS were good, but like I said, I dont know too much about suspension, and I didn't wanna rush in to anything. If any of you guys could help me out I'd really appreciate it. I know there's tons of companies out there that make coilovers, so please dont hesitate to clue me in on which ones are the best and which ones I should stay away from.

Thanks!!~

You're screwed if you think Tein are stiff. They are probably some of the softest ones available, unless Apexi was softer but I don't know anyone who run those.

Tein basics are a great choice and feel stock depending on how you set it up. One other consideration is K-sport, but from what I've read they are stiffer than the Teins. My are set to about 1 finger gap all around and the ride is stiffer than stock but not harsh. They do make some noise when compressed, and it takes some time to set even ride height. Overall I'm happy, may also want to consider tokico/blisten and spring combo also.

Yeah I was considering running the eibach pro kit springs with tokico illuminas or something of that nature. . .

TEIN Basics are not stiff. TEIN Basics are firmer than stock but not bouncy or jarring. If you are concerned though you should run the TEIN SS b/c you can adjust the dampening (relatively how soft or firm the ride is). If you put it on a softer setting the ride will be closer to OEM.

It's been a while since I sat on a Tokico setup and messed around with it. I am pretty sure though that the Tokico Iluminas setting 2 is the same as the Tokico HP.
