Wheel information.
I know there have been some posts on this, but couldn't find what I'm looking for. I have a lowered CLS, about 2" and want to know what offset I need to keep from rubbing. I'm probably going to stay with 17" with 225/45 pr 225/50's. I bought a set of FOOSE lusso's, totally hot, but with a offset of 38, would rub badly. Thanks.

Stock rims are +55 offset. If you rubbed a little with stockies, then you'll need something over 50 offset i would think. You could always roll your fenders to get a little extra clearance. If you have the new rims already, just put one on and see if you could make it work.

The further back (toward the back of the rim) that the mounting plate is, the lower the offset. My car isn't that low, so some other members would probably have a better idea than me, but if you ran 225 tires and rolled your fenders, i think you would be okay. It all depends on how bad you want the rims on (more $ to get them on). This site might be helpful:
