what wheels to get (6th gen accord coupe)
Hey guys I wanted to give a quick update on the situation with my wife's wheel situation. As some remember she had a wheels stolen last week and now we need to figure out what wheels to get her (summary - she had my stock 17" TLS wheels on her car and they were stolen). The insurance was fair and pretty much gave us the complete value of the TLS wheels and the new conti extreme tires she had on them minus her 300 deductible (would have been nice had they given us the value of the stock tires but then again we didn't have them on the wheels). Now the question is what wheels to get. our cap is probably 1200-1300 bucks and we are probably gonna look at 17s, but maybe 18s. part of what I would like to know is any knowledge anyone can offer on the quality of the wheels. Here are some pics.
1) Falken Circuit Spec 17x7 40+ offset (might rub) 22.5 lbs - $120
2) Falken Torque 5 17x7 40+ offset 23 lbs - $120
3) Flik TDR-A 17x7 45+ offset 15.5 lbs - $155
4) Flik Artic 17x7 42+ offset 18 lbs - $150
5) Flik Wasp 17x7 42+ offset 19 lbs - $150
6) OZ superleggeras 17x7 45+ offset 15.2 lbs - $260
7) TLS stock wheels - $450 total
sorry about the big pic. Please note that some of these I would consider in 18 but seeing how they are not expensive wheels I wonder about the strength, which is why I prefer a 17 over an 18 (less likely to bend - boston street sucks). A final choice, but unlikely is putting my 18s on her car and me getting something for myself (that would be a different poll all together!). Thanks for the help!
**Please note that I've allowed for multiple choices**

I was checking out the ronjon wheels and they were a little too expensive, although so are the OZs, but she really likes those (as do I). I saw the red TL with some RonJons and that looked hot!
Chap, I like the TLS wheels on her car and the advantage would be that I can put them back on my car when its time to sell it (maybe next year) in a few years. I would also save a little money (not a whole lot) getting them instead of any others although if I got the cheapest wheels the difference would be maybe 100 bucks. Plus we have a unique opportunity to get somethin else and spice up her car a little. Overall I am leaning towards the TLS wheels but ultimately its her decision. great feedback though and I think we are on the same page.

Hey Rez, my TLS wheels were stolen off her car (thats a pic from June with my wheels). I found someone selling their TLS wheels and I've been in contact with them...this is why they are listed as option 7.
as for the weight, all are lighter than my stock wheels and fortunately for me my wife is not a racer so rim weight is not a priority (although for me I like the wheels that are under 20lbs like the OZ-SLs!!!).

funny, number 3 was one of my favorites and no one has picked it. Oh well. Please keep the votes coming and let me know if anyone has had good/bad experiences with any of the wheels mentioned. Thanks!

number 2 is the one... the falkens i think... they looks good, and falken makes good stuff... i had a set of their tires and they were excellent...i assume the rims would also be decent...
look at some enkeis too... i have the RS7s and i love them... look nice, ride well, and they were hella cheap...
i dont always look at price and quality together... look at the overall product and the quality of the company etc... you can pay 3,000 for a rim and still bend it... ouch... that would suck...
detroit streets suck too, but i am rolling on 19s... dont let the roads dictate your choice...
just drive with care and your rims will be fine.. i think...
holla,
kumar

Thanks fellas. She wanted the OZs badly but they are too expensive right now (school apps) so she decided on getting the TLS wheels. Its funny because I liked 2 as well but we have seen more and more cars with those type of wheels so she preferred the TLS ones. She wasn't too crazy about the other choices so she said OZ or TLS so we made the decision to get the TLS wheels. Kinda boring but in the end it makes more sense because I may end up selling my car in a year anyway so having the stockers make's it easier and then she gets the Enkei's (assuming I don't mess them up.
Thanks for voting.

Update...The TLS wheels were bought but never installed. I have a pending sale on them because I found a different set of wheels. I will post pics when they are mounted (I know, I know...pics first, posts later).
