what tires to get???

Before I replace my stock tires on my stock rims....

which rims should I get to improve my traction and handling. Saving up for the BR5's so I'm not getting a rims soon. Figure I at least replace the next best thing.

thanks for any help

I just got my SO-3 and those things make a big difference. I think a lot of the other members will agree the SO-3 are probably one the best tires out there.

how much louder and rougher are they compared to the stock?

And how bad has the overall ride quality gotten?

Get the SO-3's. They are the best tires I have ever had. They just stick, stick, stick, and stick some more. They are very quiet compared to stock. I can fly into a turn behind a cop and he would never even know.

I have to agree and in addition to that, it seems like a smoother ride.

I think they are the cheapest place at on $152. I think they are $200 plus at the Firestone/Bridgeston.

Sumitomo+ Quiet, sticky,Z rated,360 treadwear--$89 at tirerack. I find them totally superior to the stock Michelins. It's like stealing for that price; I would like to ride on the Bridgestones or the Toyos to compare but I can't imagine a better tire than the Sumo+ IMO

Does anyone have any experience with sumitomo tires? That price does not seem right considering the specs....is there something wrong with these tires?

Yokohama AVS ES100s excellent grip in rain or dry low road noise tread pattern looks pimp and only $105 a tire on tirerack!

aclbuyer, do a search on the sumitomo + tires as several mambers have bought them. I don't remember any negative comments except someone stated thatey didn't look as good as the Michelins. I disagree. They are very agressive looking to me plus they are M + S rated for all weather use.

in regards to the sumitomo's, i have 2500 miles on mine and i am very pleased. suggest you go to tirerack.com and check out the tests and owner's survey.

I have the Sumitomos on order from my buddy at a local shop and i should have them by wed. on my car. He said they have sold quite a few of them and everyone has been happy. I also agree that they look pretty good, not as agressive as some tires but much more than the stocks. i paid around $85 each including balance, mount and aligment.
