I had some trouble in the snow last year, but my tires were pretty worn... The wear bands are showing on the rear tires, and the fronts are down to like 3/32's
I wanted to get some Yoko V4S, but it looks like I'm going with the Yoko AS430's instead... Hopefully they'll come in tomorrow so I can get 'em installed on Saturday...
I'm going with an all season tire (stock size/speed/load rated 215/50/17 93V), 'cause I don't like the hassle of switching rims when using a dedicated winter setup, but have winter tires like Blizzacks or others seems to be a popular setup for the members who have to deal with snow...
I've had Yoko's before, so I'm going with 'em again. It's just my personal preference... plus they are cheap (just like me)

Weird. Those General Exclaims were 1,078,899 times better at EVERYTHING including snow than the Falkens were previously. My favorite was sitting at a traffic light on snow pack and when the light turned green, just nailing the throttle. THe VSA kicks in and the car grabs perfectly.
As a matter of fact, a guy in a big Silverado 4x4 tried to race me one night in the snow and when the light turned green, he took off so I figured I'd play (since I loved the VSA in the snow) and guess what... On those Generals, I whooped his ass believe it or not.
Chris, those are great tires on that car.
