Tein SS ?
Tein SS ?
so if i get the tein SS coilovers, is that all i need what i get in the package, or do i also need to by cambers etc..IM not to clear on suspension. After seeing the comptech scandal, im lookin at my alternatives..Thanks
How low do you want to go .. if you want to keep the drop around the same as the ORIGINAL (I guess I have to specify that now) Comptech drop, then you shouldnt need a camber kit. but generally the rule was if you went below that, you would need a camber kit to get the alignment back to factory specs.
You'll find a lot of info on alignment and camber kits to purchase in conjunction with lowering your car in other threads. Try a search first, and if you still have questions, post up another question. However, your question has already been answered in numerous threads.
But to give you a little bit of a head start...
Regardless of what lowering kit you purchase, whether you need a camber kit or not depends on the amount you lower your car. Since you are going to go with the TEIN kit, I'd get your car lowered and have the height adjusted to where you want it. THen go and get your alignment checked out to see how much it is off or if it's even off for that matter (Every car is different)
If it's off then you'll need to purchase the correct camber adjustment kit. They make different kits depending on how much camber correction you need. This is why you have to get your car's alignment checked first before you buy a camber correction kit.
In addition, getting your alignment checked after getting it lowered is just good practice because if your alignment is off, and you correct it, it'll save you money because your tires won't wear out prematurely.

Only problem with what skyraskal is saying is that it'll cost you more money to put the Teins on, then get an alignment and then get the camber kit installed and get another alignment ... Where as if you do it all at the same time, then you'll save on a 2nd alignment and save on install costs since your car is already on the lift.
And I got my Teins installed by the dealer ... Depends on each dealer, but mine did it with no problems.

I guess we were saying the same thing, or trying to get to the same point but just stating it differently.

I know you aren't intersted in the comptech springs, but have you given any thought to the neuspeed springs with koni yellow shocks?
If you're going to drop your car more than 1.5"s then just get the camber kit made for up to a 3.0" drop. Even if you go below a 1.5" drop you can still get the camber within spec, you just can't go above the stock ride height like you can with the 1.5" kit.
Personally, I bought the SPC Camber kit, part #s: 67320 (front), and 67090 (rear).

I installed the Teins myself using NiteQwill's instructions (do a search for that). Everything you need comes in the box or is already on your car.
If dropping about 2", as I have, you may or may not need a kit. I did not as my specs are just within Acura's specs.
Good luck.
