Tein coilovers or Function Form?

The Tein coilovers are about 90$ more than the func./form. But I'm not sure of which one to get. Any information or comments on these coils would be great.

TEIN hands down. It's a high quality coilover that maintains ride comfort and improves handling. FnF is a cheaper coilover that offers more ride height adjustment but lacks the quality TEIN is known for.

I'm also deciding on two different Coils for my car. I was stuck between the K-sports or the Teins. I don't wanna spend over $1000 tho still a college student and all. Anyone have experiences with the ksport's? My friend is telling me to get them but everyone on the forums seem to be saying teins are better even thought they don't have as much adjustments. I just want my car lowered but still not have too harsh of a ride.

I ran the KSports. The struts blew about 13 months after purchasing. Its the second set to do that. The other was on my Civic for about 7k miles.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. Im not really concerned with ride quality so I went with the $600 Func/form. Next is wheels and tires. Yet again I have no clue what Im going to go with.

If you're considering K Sports you should consider our XLR8 ISC coilovers. They are superior in quality and offer more adjustment.

Yes we are getting that resolved now but that is only an issue on the 3G side. The 2G CL/TL coilovers are good to go.

Thanks a lot for your input. I may consider these Coils as well. Is there a specific spring rate you woul recommend? I want to lower my car just so I don't have that huge gap on my wheel well. I don't want to slam it to the floor though. I still want a smooth ride. if I do lower my car would I need a camber kit? I'm still kind of new to the whole suspension stuff. Has anyone provided their review on the Coils?

the XLR8 coils just came out, so i don't think there are reviews yet. Seem to be top notch though. Go with their softer springs for more comfort. Needing a camber kit depends on how low you go. Essentially the more you lower the car the more the top of the wheels will sink into the car (negative camber) and can eat tires. You have to be pretty slammed for that though. Your best bet would be to adjust the coils to your liking, get an alignment and see where you stand (ie. if you need a camber kit or not).

You would want the XLR8 ISC coilovers with the Street Comfort setup. It can lower the car a significant amount and it is still fairly comfortable, although sportier than stock. There are a number of positive reviews on the 3G TL side, especially from the original tester who has had the coilovers on his vehicle for months.

I would recommend at least a rear camber/toe kit. You would want a qty of 2 of these:

Thanks A lot for the info. I'm really considering these Coils now. Too bad I don't have the money yet. Hopefully after this summer. And For the camber would I have to buy those the same time I get the Coils? or could I get those some time after?

You can buy the camber kits separately and install at a later date.

Kind of off topic, but I'm going to be looking at suspension as well for my 03 CL-S and the $90 difference is almost negligible between the Tein and FF... I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with how well either of these products stand up over time/what manufacturer warranty support is like, etc. Any input appreciated!

TEIN is hands down a significantly better product. Their warranty is 1 year. I've never warrantied one of their parts yet. And their dampers are rebuildable.
