, ... cut the rubber what?....

with your old suspension removed... the Tein Coilover just slides right in...

In the rear you need to remove the sway bar END link.... in the front.. you just need a pry bar to pull down on the Lower Control A-arm.

You had me worried for a minute. I just checked my instructions and it doesn't say anything about cutting it. The instructions I have are specific to our cars. What you have are general instructions. It says to see the attached chart. Do you have the chart? It also says if there is no info on cutting it, don't cut it.

Install it without cutting it.

I just noticed the instructions you have are for springs, not coilovers.

No need to cut if you're installing coilovers.

when i lower a car sometimes i cut that rubber stopper piece just to be nice.. it helps with bottoming out on lowered cars.. but yes if it is a lowered spring or shorter throw strut.. cut it. if you put it in without cutting it might have a funny baouncy ride if its just sitting on that rubber stopper.. i never looked at the pic but i assume your looking at the yellow foam looking thing that is under the black boot on the strut... . if this helps you any cool. if not cool.lol
