suspension input

I have an 03 cl-s and wanna drop it but still wanna conserve the ride. My toss-up is between the tien basis coilovers, or the full eibach pro system kit that comes with the sway bars. I know the coilovers are generally a better ride. But i want input since I could basically get the full eibach system for the same price.

Does anyone have these and do they recommend either? or is there something else i should consider for the $650 ballpark?

Not the answer most would agree with, but i'd get a name brand spring such as h&r, eibach, etc and rock em on stock shocks. I had h&r sports on my car for 3 yrs. Rode like stock and the suspension was fine. No need to spend 600+ on suspension (depending on your goals of course) but it just sounds like you want your car lower

Read my thread in the photograph gallery. You will see my experience with Eibach and see why I decided to ditch them for coilovers. If I was you, no question buy coils.

the ride quality was just fine with eibach. my only issue was the unbalanced stance, too high in the front. If you have a 6 speed CL, yours will look just like mine in the front. if you have an auto, it should be more even. I'd say even if you have an auto, still buy coils so you can adjust and fine tune the stance to your liking. Save the expense later, do it right the first time.

Still happy with my Function Forms.
But I would not be happy without coilvers in general, all springs sit too high imo.

Asuuming you meant me and not Mike. You could be right, I was running stock dampers, so you might have better luck using eibach springs with aftermarket dampers. But when you combine the money spent on both, you might as well get coilovers.

The calipers are from a 2005 RL (or newer) and I bought them used, along with stainless steel brake lines, brake pads and slotted rotors (all 4) and I think I paid $500 or it all.

I was running the Neuspeed Supercup kit for a few months and the front was higher then the rear if they were set on the same perches.

The dampers have nothing to do with ride height. Thats what the spring and the spring perch do. All of the springs on the market were developed with the automatic CL/TL/Accord in mind. The lighter 6MT causes the front to sit slightly higher.

Sorry Austin, yes I meant you. The car looks great and you really got me considering the brake job. As far as the suspension goes, the part thats really got me torn up is the eibach kit comes with the sway bars, the bumps, spring and dampers all for 650. The tein Coilovers are 650 alone. My cars and Auto but I definately see why you switched on your car.
