Those other three you mentioned are good but I’d go with the Comptech Drop. 1.5" in the front and 1" in the back. Very conservative but you still get a nice look out of it plus the ride doesn't become too harsh. It definitely does become more firm then stock, but not by too much.

Depends on what kind of drop you want. Do a search and you'll find a lot of information. The most popular seems to be the Comptech. I have the H&R sports. Nice even drop. I knew that the ride was going to be firmer, so, I combined them with Illuminas. I can change the settings anytime. Right now, I've got them all set at 2 and the ride is just right.

No H & R

I too have been looking around for some Springs to drop about an inch...
I spent a little time today on the phone with Shox.com and, the folks over
at H & R... This is straight from H & R.. They said they don't have Springs
for our 2nd Gen. CLs...They tried all sorts of combos and nothing seemed
to work..noise, etc... end quote...I called people at Shox.com..The only
thing they told me they had were the Eibachs...and would drop closer to
2"....So, you guys with so called H & R springs.. what part #s are you ordering???
(Accord??)..The guys at H & R were curious also...I haven't looked into the
Comptechs yet... Where did you buy and what part #s work for that 1" drop???

I got coilovers from Ground Control. They have a good idea on spring rates, are easy to install and easy to set ride height with the yellow Koni shocks. You know you will need new shocks with new springs anyway, so might as well go to ride height adjustable coilovers all at once. Others have written they like the Teins, which look good to me but I haven't seen or installed. The Tein shocks are apparently more adjustable than the Konis...

OhBachs...

Ok,
i sort of give up.. I guess i just haven't gotten a good feeling about putting the H & Rs
on. They don't have a specific part for the CL..They continue to tell me that they don't
recommend any Springs and won't back the Springs if placed on the wrong car..If i
had more time to goof around (and i don't) I might try some variations...Now, Eibach
does make Springs for the CL and several guys are running them on their TLs / CLs
with no complaints etc..They might be a bit softer but, i ain't drifting... I'll try em and see
where it all goes.... Thanks for the help... :lame

Check out my DIY, I have H&R sports (51858)/Bilstein shocks. H&R will outlast the life of the vehicle. If you ever want to see my drop, I'm local in Irvine, PM me.

This is correct... the 51858 (OE) work great on the CL/TL. In fact... that's our 2nd best selling spring right now behind the Sports.

The Sports happen to be the springs I have with basically the same setup as racersir. I'm not sure of his offset, but I'm running +48 and have not had any trouble with rubbing or anything. In fact, I love the springs. The drop is more then the Comptech, but I like the lower look in the rear. The ride is a bit harsher then stock.. but what can you expect when you drop a car 1.5" - 1.75" or so and add 18" rims with low profile tires? All in all I love the setup.

51858 = H&R OE springs... only lower the car about .75" to 1" (depends on settling)

50103 = H&R Sports..... lower the car about 1.75" or so (depends on settling)

Both give a even drop.. but the sports are a more aggressive drop and are the springs most compared to the CT springs. Personally I love my Sports.... check out my personal site for pics of my setup.

Back to H & Rs..???

Sounds like a few of us are still in this "Grey" area about lowering etc...Alright Jr.Bean...
i am going to check out NiteQwill's ride this weekend..and i'll decide then...Now i know some like the ride stiff and sharp... i am leaning a bit the other way...I like the current ride with the stock springs/shocks.. i would just like to drop and try to preserve the ride...The Eibachs
are too soft for the hard core but...how are the H & Rs when it comes to holding onto the original feel??? I am sure i'll learn more if NiteQwill and i hook up.......

get some coilovers..i thinks HonsCl is selling in blackmarket for like 400. I got Eibachs. Ride is a lil firmer but not too harsh at all. Another member i met on here had some ground controls and his drop looked perfect. Lil lower than Eibach but it was dead even.
