Springs???
I have a 03 CLS 6MT......I am looking for a good spring that will not cause any damage and will not effect my warranty....
I don't want to go too low....Im going to put 19" or 20" rims on there too..
Lookin to drop like 2" in the front and 1.5" in the rear...
Any suggestions??

search.... i dislike the search.
I was wondering the same thing myself. From what i have heard and seen from others cars. The H&R 51858's are a good way to go and get you around that 2" drop you are looking for. Also thinking about the Eibach Pro kit?
I am also curious about voiding the warrenty??

The warranty comes first.....I have to talk to my service guys at Bridgewater Acura...to see what type of parts would be best...
I don't know about the prokit drop...
My boy with a 1st Gen. has that drop and I hate the way it rides...
What about Tein springs???

I have H&R Sports , I think the drop is 1.7 in the front and 1.5 in the back and once they settle you'll get the range you want. You can also go Tein H-Tech which is about the same. The pro-kit on the second gen drops it more than on a first gen, I think 2.1 in the front and 1.7 in the back if I remember correctly, I was gonna order those first but didnt want it to settle near 3" in the front.

Mods due not affect the warrenty unless what you due causes the car to fail (i.e. They're almost certainly not gonna cover blown shocks if your dropped on stock shocks).
Thats the law. Magnuson Moss Act.

i have the H&R sports, it rides pretty smooth. Its about 1.5 - 1.7 drop
If you want something around 2 inches, get the Tein S-Tech. Warranty will only void if the defect / damage was casued by your springs. For example, your shocks blown.

Yeah, I've been looking at the H&R springs too...
Don't know if I want to go with the Sports ( 50103 ) or OE ( 51858 )... Probably the 51858's as I don't want to go too aggressive with the drop...
My CL TypeS, The sports would probably get you close to where you want. If you do a search for the part numbers I listed above in the photo gallery, you'll find lots of pics of those setups.
Platano, the TL guys seem to run the Teins... I've seen a lot of the CL guys running the H&R's... don't know why, but it just seems that way...

Actually Greenie there are quite a few running the Sports 50103 and a couple the 51858 but there really isn't a difference between the 2 once it settles. There is a thread over where I posted a pic of my car with the 50103 & another TL with 51858 it seems identical. Most do run coilovers over there though

I would certainly go with the 50103, which is what I have. The drop is not too aggressive, since I didn't need any camber kit and I have never scrapped or had any such problems. Ive seen quite a few pics of the 51858 and I had to look real hard to see that it was diffrent than stock. If your gonna spend the money for springs you should get your money's worth and get something noticable

John...
If you just want a nice even, lowered stance with better handling, the 858's are the way to go....had those on my old CL, and loved the way it handled...not too low, mind you, but a subtle, noticable drop
