shaky when cold

I bought my CL in the spring of '06 she is an '03. I love everything about this car. I live in a cold area of the country (NorthEast Ohio). When I take the car out after it has sit for three hours the car shakes for about the first five minutes at 60 mph then it is pretty smooth. Had the suspension, drive train, brakes checked out. Even took the crappy dealer installed tires off in favor of some Bridgestone Turanza LS (tires aren't bad). Does exactly the same thing, gets worse as it gets colder. Has anybody else experienced this? the shaking can be felt throughout the car. Read somewhere that this is a problem common with some Accords (apparently the CL is based on). I read that this is a problem on BMW's. Is common with cars with tight and sensitive suspensions. Any advice?

In Canada and i have never felt my car do this. Even in -20c and below weather. Now my bosses 04 TL did this and it was the tires, Nexens. He's since placed some snow mich's on and the shake is no longer. I myself have winter tires on, so i dont know if this is indeed the reason. Kinda of makes sense in a way... i mean, seeing that the tires warm up it would help keep the rubber compound soft which in the end will help any wheel vibration go away. I dunno...

It is exactly the same way each time, the colder, the worse it is. Once warmed up, the car is insanely smooth. this is truly the only problem that I have with this car. Nice to hear that my fellow Ohioians are experiencing the same thing - I think. I hate the salt and crap on the roads, just had a car go by and throw some of that black coal looking crap up on the windshield. You would think that by now that the DOT could come up with a road treatment that is a bit less damaging to our vehicles, something other than salt and brine.

Yeah i hear you... On province and cities uses insane amounts of salt. During the winter im literally washing my car 1-2 a week to wash that shit off. Sometimes they use this sand mixture which is better, but thats only in certain areas on certain streets. Sucks big time... Again, you Ohio peeps are all having the same problem, weird. I'm still thinking its to do with the tires, but i dunno anymore. Very strange indeed.

Yeah...I bet its that the tires are sitting when it is cold and flat spotting, then once they warm up...they are fine. It was -5 degrees this morning here and it felt like I was riding on concrete blocks when I went to work!!
