Replacing OEM struts.

this is what's going on. i'm riding on CT springs with stock struts. this setup has been on for >40k miles. so i need to proximally replace the struts before they begin to show signs of wear. i'm going to use illumina's. what i don't know is if i have to get a camber kit along with this change or if i can just do a straight-up exchange. u guys let me in on what u know.

damn, really?! one of the moderators from here told me that having aftermarket springs on stock shox gives it a beating to the point where it's life is decreased to half. he did say it would be down to between 55k-60k miles. did u have springs u bought all that time before the 100k miles? did u have to buy a camber kit or anything? and tell me what size wheels/tires u have.

The moderator was right. Aftermarket lowering springs WILL decrease the life of your stock shocks.

To answer your question....if you didnt need camber kits on the orig shocks, you most likely will not need them with the illuminas.
