Rear sway bars on a CL type-S? Progress/Eibach/Comptech

I noticed my rear sway bar was cracked a little and rusting, looks like it will break any day now. I was installing my MOOG sway bar links last week when I had my car on the lift and noticed it, so I held off on the back till I get a new rear sway bar. I did some SEARCHing and so far noticed the Progress rear sway bar for the 3rd generation TL is the thickest at 24mm part# 62.0110 and was told it will fit the 2001 CLS A/T. I also am considering comptech which is made for our car part#140-145 and is 22mm and Eibach rear sway bar part#4040.312 which is 23mm.

They say that thicker is better but the progress was not made spacifically for our car so the Eibach or Comptech (even though they are not as thick) may perform better because they were both mad specifically for the CLs.

They are all about the same price so I wanted some feedback from you guys that have one or the other for your thoughts. I also wanna know if anyone has the progress for the 3rd generation TL on their CL and how that is working for them , and if there where any problems during install?

I also hate noise / clunking so if anyone has any of these sway bars and noticed noise from the back let me know!

Thanks again, most of you guys are a GREAT help!

i installed the progress 24mm in my tl and then in my cl, went in easy with the moog end links. its also adjustable for your riding style. front hole (end of bar) is for more aggressive driving. on the tl side ppl noticed a big difference with the progress sway bar in

I got the 3g TL Comptech bar on mine. Fits fine. Any 3g TL bar should work. I got it new for a very cheap price otherwise I would have went with Progress.

+1 for Progress and it comes w/ polyurethane bushings as opposed to the Comptech which switched to rubber bushings on later sets to cut down on potential noise.

I am so pissed u guys had set my heart on the Progress rear sway bar and excelerate is out of stock on it till May. My DLR I work at is closing May 1st so I will not have anyone to do the install for me and I will be out a job. I was gonna order it today but just found out he was not gonna have it till May..I am soo bummed I really wanted to order from him, he gave me fast shipping and great service B4.
I would really wanna give my money to a vendor on this site anyone know anywhere else i can order this RSB?
I REALLY need in in a week or so..

I doubt a RSB will be hard to install.

I did it on my protege in 30 minutes with no lift.

Did you even check with Excelerate? Like i said, i ordered the RSB as well as the shock/strut system. If you just need the RSB he may have it by now or be able to get it to you relatively quick.

I have Moog links waiting for the progress bar to come it, so im gonna put those on.
I all-ready changed the front SBL to moog, they are pretty cool, you can shoot grease into them anytime! I will be putting Moog sway bar links on with the progress bar, SO the hole closest to the end (the last, second , outside hole) is the hole I should use on the Progress RSB!?!?!?

Thanks guys..

BTW i got the MOOG sway bar links at Rockauto for $75 shipped, Lemme know if u are ordering I have a 5% off coupon!

Might as well do all the links, buy all four at once, I would also wait till u have everything on just the way u want it b4 getting a alignment.
Where both going to have the same setup.. how do u like the B@G thus far, comments?

I really like it the front has settled a little more hit a huge bump and I heard something come from the front left strut idk what it was though almost like it was the strut compressing but haven't rubbed yet I don't think but overall pretty happy with the setup have only got positive comments on it
