question on swaybar

How important is the teflon tape on the rear sway? Could I get away with just greasing the bushing or will I have problems down the road. Also, the black retaining clips, how do you get it to release?

Actually, I think a good grease is better and lasts longer than the tape. Don't remember anything about problems with the clips.

Use lithium grease instead. As for clips, I just pulled them off.

I used a thicker teflon tape and have not had a problem. I just think it's cleaner and doesn't attract dirt. If you don't have thick tape, just lay down multiple layers.

Following Austin's advice, I ditched the teflon tape that came with the kit and instead sprayed the inside of the bushings with white lithium grease.

I've seen complaints on the boards regarding squeaking noises as the tape wore out, but I have not had any noises from mine.

As for the retaining clips, once you take the metal bracket off, you just spread it (it's cut in the middle) and take it off.

A related question -
Does the rear bar come with attached sway bar end links? Or do you use stock?

Used both...two layers of teflon tape and the lithium grease.
