Progress RSB from 3G TL

I figured since the comptech one fits, this one should too.

Has anyone had any experience with it or heard of using it on a CL?

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...2&page=1&pp=25

Its 24mm, so 2mm thicker than comptech, 1mm thicker than eibach (?), and like 8mm thicker than the cl-p sway bar. Also, apparently both comptech and progress are out of excellerate's stock.

Any downsides to having an RSB that thick? Seriously considering trying one out if excellerate can have them in stock before he does the comptechs.

Go ahead and rock it...and report back...it should stiffen up the rear end a lot.

Another option I'm considering is using the OEM bar from 3G TL 6MT. I got the idea from forums. Its 20mm. Should cost 50-60 new from acura..

Anyone know how thick the oem CL-P bar is? I recall it being 16mm but I don't remember where I saw it.

Opinions?

check out my fender rolling services. I'll be out of town for a while so if you can hold out till the first of next month that would be great.

I just ordered the bar and I want to know if I need to buy upgraded endlinks? Or is everything I need is in the box? I ask is b/c most likely I will make the shop install it and I want to buy the extra stuff ahead of time if needed. I would love to try to install it myself but I am the person who even had trouble installing the icebox when everybody else said it was easy.

Thanks ahead,

I finally had time to install them and you don't need anything else. Everything you need come in the box. It is one of the best investment I have made. I am not that knowledgeable about cars but anybody can feel the difference even my wife felt a difference. Now it is time for a bbk but don't know if I go with the 2 piece or 1 piece rotor.

For those that have the Progress RSB, I ordered it and it has 2 end holes on each side because it's adjustable. Instructions say outside one is "softest setting". Is that the one I should use for stock suspension?

rp_guy, install that stuff now. unless it's cuz ur snowed int. I put mine on today. attached the end links to the inside holes. and all i have to say is, "i paid $140 for this thing, and I would've paid double for the additional response I get now!" basically:
Better cornering (way better)
Less bump steer
More controlled acceleration
More control at higher speed (hit 110 and felt like I was at 80)
Other than brakes, this is all I need

Now it feels like I'm riding in a sports coupe. Nothing bad to say other than I feel harder bumps in the rear.

Progress RSB for the 3g tl is an amazing upgrade. Fit perfectly, just had to get under the car a little bit by bringing it up some ramps (1/4 of the way, like 5 inches off of stock height on both sides).

I torqued the brackets and end links at 30, that sound ok?

not where i live. stiffer sway only helps on dry pavement, not in slippery conditions (aka ice and snow where i am)

actually recommended to remove the rear sway in the winter (so there's more 'controllable' understeer)

changed 3 parts on this install: MOOG endlinks, energy bushings, and progress RSB on soft.

eventually i did get it on.. and my rear lifted 1" !!!!!!!!! but after a short drive, it settled down. i think i gotta check all the connections now, but.. i didn't feel a difference and i got pissed a lot during the install..

i'd rather do my headers 10 times before trying this again on my car.

sways are hard to get in, but frustration won't help at all in the installation, its a lot of just elegantly maneuvering it in.

didnt know that sways can result in that in the picture... its not even that steep from the picture... i should check mine i don't think mine does that... eibach is 23mm so 1 mm shouldn't make a differance..

Or you can do what I did and cut off the bolts of the shitty oe endlinks and get moogs and never have trouble taking them on/off ever again. Its not even worth trying to take off the stock endlinks for the 40 bux.

i think it's the fact that i'm on soft winter tires and that there's ice/snow/rocks on the ground that i can't test out the suspension
