i had a funny feeling somebody was going to post a picture of a rim and of lips..................I guess i had it coming

Was actually looking for pictures of deep dish/lip style rims on a CL

 

Unfortunately deep dish and 2nd gen CL don't go together. Because the offset required is so high, it limits the amount of lip you can have.

Some wheels where the spokes bend inward, tend to provide more lip than straight spokes.

 

I just ordered a 19x8.5 with a 2.5" outer/6" inner. The Davin Speed 1 black with red carbon fiber. I think 2.5" lip is about the most we can get on our cars....

2.5" lip is way more than most people get - only people with lip on this forum are the ones who wanted widebody and those that have axis wheels.

 

you missed the part where he spent about $4000 in bodywork to make those fit.

 

Yeah I'm talking about bellybuttons, wtf are you talking about.... I have my fenders rolled with the tanabe springs. Took all the measurements (brakes, fenders, stock wheel setup, etc) sent it to my engineer and had him put together the 19x8.5's, so that it would clear the brakes and still sit inside the fenders. So no "widebody" is necessary, these is what you can get with 3 piece forged wheels and some rolling.

 

what is the offset of the 19x8.5s you're getting?

 

44 in the front and 41 and the rear. I had 38 all the way around last year on 19x8's, and got them all to tuck under the fenders with no rubbing after some slight mods.

 

I am talking about no one knowing what your 6" inner lip even means.
