Possible Summer Project

When I first bought my car, the previous owner had curbed up all my wheels pretty badly. I want to paint my wheels close to my PS. With the polished part of the wheel painted darker, kindof like a gunmetal look. What would be the best way to remove the scratches, is it possible?

you'll have strip all the finish off of the wheels to paint them with aircraft paint stripper, then you can probably sand down then wetsand the curb rash areas.
