People and their cheap *ss steak knives...

Well I pulled into the drive way and hear a crazy loud hissing noise. I get out and see the back end of my car slowly sinking... here's the culprit This chunk of cheap steak knife was buried completely in up to the last 1/8" that was sticking out.

Any suggestions on what to get for new tires. Its about time I got a new set of all seasons.

Good time to get new tires i guess. But, there is a lot of debate on which tire is best for you in the Tire, Wheel, Suspension section

I think I will go with the Yokohama Avid V4s, they seem to have good reviews on here and aren't the most expensive but aren't the cheapest. I figure I should replace all four tires at once. Most look pretty shabby but not totally worn.

I went with the Fuzion ZRi, I believe its one of the best tires for the price, it's very similiar to the high end Bridgestone RE750 tire, having both tires come from Bridgestone. And not to mention it was super cheap because I work at Wheel Works.

I don't have the Avids on my CL but I've had them in the past and IMHO I think they're the best over all all season for the money.

Im not too sure on the 512s, we've had quite a few come in with bubbles and the tread pattern is very inconsistent, the outside tread bars vary too much. I was going to get them but the sidewall didn't look as stiff as the Fuzion ZRI, and I noticed the ZRi's had more contact area....

I had some V4's on my CLS, but when I went to get a full set this past Oct, they said didn't have them anymore... The V4's are called the H4s-V4s now: http://www.yokohamatire.com/searchresults.asp?id=hp

I ended up with the AS430 since Town Fair Tire had those for a better price then the h4/v4 and the road hazzard policy was cheaper too ($6 a tire IIRC). They are pretty good in the snow, and ok in the rain and dry. They are a little noisy on some types of pavement (like the OEM's were).

I like town fair since they do free rotations and tire repairs for the life of the tires. I've gotten one flat fixed (screw in the tire) and a free rotation already...
