Opinion on Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position tires

Anyone running the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position with UNI-T AQ 11 tires? Was wondering how they would compare to the stock Michelins on my 2003 CL type S, especially in the snow.

I don't have them but bstone makes pretty good tires. if I was you and you got the money to shell out, go with RFTs

Recently went on a Ride and Drive comparing the Bridgestones to Michelins for my company. The course was a winding snaky turn fest with sharp hairpins, kinks, s-turns, etc. All wet, and on a sealed parking lot (slick city). The vehicles were 07 pontiac g6's (fwd) and 07 bmw 325i's (rwd). The bridgestones beat the michelins in every aspect and could handle the turns and twists of the track at much higher speeds before it even thought about losing grip (and recoverd grip much much faster).

Couple other facts about the PP RE960s:

- They all come with a 40k mileage warranty, no matter the size / performance rating
- The have a dynamic tread build so that they experience less traction fade due to wear than just about all other tires (most tires will lose grip as the treadblocks wear, but these change composition as they wear to keep that "like-new" traction longer.

The only tire that might compare to the RE960s in their class and cost a whole lot more atm are the new Michelin Primacy series. They pretty much combined the sticky traction of the Pilot HXMXM4 with the life of the MXV4, also comes with a 60k mileage warranty I believe but may not perform as well - were unavailable during testing.

Do you have any feedback on how the Potenza RE 960 tires actually perform in the snow, not just from data on Trerack. They need to perform at least as well as the stock Michelins did when new for me to consider.
Thanks

I have them and so far, i think they are the best tire i have bought for the money, but they are pricey, im running 235/45/17's on the 07 tl-s rims, and i love them, dont buy these though http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?ti...=Ziex+ZE%2D912

not as good as the report says, i like to test my tires in all kinds of conditions, thye are ok , great buy for the price though if you cant afford potenzas, but imo potenzas have alwasy been the shit, even back when i used to rock a 89 civic hatch with a homeade ctr motor

I have them on my CL and I absolutely love them!!! Theyre incredible in the rain and on wet surfaces, and have greatt traction on dry road too!! I havent had a chance to drive them in snow yet, but Tirerack.com rated them a 5 or 6 out of 10 in light snowfall, so I would only imagine they'd be good in that too!! What's this about a 40k mile warranty you stated above?? The other day I hit a curb and took a chunk out of the sidewall on the tire. I havent lost any air yet, but I do have the fear of possibly getting a blowout because of that. Will Bridgestone replace the tire for me since I'm under 40K miles?? Any more info. regarding that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks~

The 40k warranty is for mileage from the manufacturer, but I don't think its included from online distributors (tirerack.com, etc) but not sure on that. Doesn't cover a road hazard like you described, more or less just a guaranty that the tire is going to last at least 40k miles or you'll recieve some credit for some new tires from the manufacturer.

Again tho, it all depends on where you got it from.
