I paid $460 for springs and shocks B@G my shock just broke though!

Like I said $460 for springs and shocks shipped , and that lowers it 1.6 inches front and rear. You can find eibach kit for $560-$580 for just the springs and shocks and that also loweres it 1.5-2.0 inches front and rear. I did not need a camber kit when I lowered my car and i dont think u do for the eibach kit.
Those prices are only for parts, then there is 2-3 hours labor, most shops charge $50-$100 a hour. Or u can go with springs and shocks seperate.
Springs will be anywhere from like $220 - $300 and decent shocks will be like $340 - $500. There is a section for this , look in the sub forum under suspention!

I tired putting my own tint film on my tailed but that failed. I might continue to stick with tint film but will get it installed by a professional.

well the adhesive is pretty good and you would have to find an edge to peel it off. and its not like that static cling stuff, this should be pretty theft resistant.

Well its a good thing they are gonna fix it. De-badging is a great, cheap way to clean up the back of the car! Easy and looks great!

Just remember

What ever lowering spring set up you go with, you are going to need ingalls ball joints. You will eat through tires like crazy, if you lower and don't do this.

just get eibach springs or tein s techs, with new shocks (not oem). To debadge just get a hair dryer, heat up the badges a bit, and use dental floss behind the badges to peel them off. After that use some goo gone to get rid of the old glue. Remember that the big A in the middle will leave holes since it isnt glued on so i suggest leaving it. If theres still residue left over after taking everything off, i suggest getting mguires scratch X and rubbing the remaining stuff off, worked for me.

Not true, my toe setting is perfect with a 1.6 inch drop all around and my alignment is perfect.
I just had the tires checked last week and after 3 months no sign of any uneven of abnormal wear. If you get a lowerkit that was made for the car u will have no problems but if you get some springs and shocks there were not made specifically for each other or for the car or lower it more the 2 inches you will have a problem with your toe setting being of. Some cars come with negative toe from the factory to improve handling, I belive the G35 does and alot of people complain on g35driver about there tires wearing unevenly, my good friend has one and complains about this. If u buy a kit made for our car or reputable springs and shocks made for our car that does not SLAM it more then 2 inches , they will be able to adjust the toe close enough to the factory settings so u dont have a problem, If they cant then u will need to invest in a camber kit!

actully the camber angle in our car is :
Front : 0`00' +_ 1`
Rear : 0`30' +_ 1`

Front toe - in is : 0 +_ 2mm (0+_ 1/16 inches)
Rear toe - in is : 2+_2mm (1/16+_1/16 inches)

So i dont think any car is perfect 0's across when it comes to toe and camber but if you can get it close enough to those numbers you will be fine with tire wear.

Dude dont pay anyone leave your cars A$$ in direct sunlight on a really hot day then at about 2-3 pm go outside with some fishing line and floss the 3.2cl
and type-s off. I think the big "A" has hole behind it. after you get them off get some GOOBEGONE of some crap like it and rub the extra glue off. then wash and wax the part u did, well wash and wax the whole car she deserves it!
Dont pay anyone to do something that u can do in 5 min!

Not all badges come off that easy (based on previous experience).

If you don't have a heat gun (you can pick one up at Home Depot/Lowes ~$20) then you can use a hair dryer.

You want to soften the adhesive off the back so that it will easily pull away from the paint.

Floss works great for getting behind the emblems.

And then you can use some adhesive remover to clean up the extra glue.

Don't rub too hard and do not scratch at the glue...you will more than likely scratch your paint.

Im lowered without upgraded ball joints or camber kit. really depends on how low you go and you dont know what you need until you get an alignment.

Yeah it really is that easy. Everyone has the right idea. Doesn't matter if its a hair dryer or heat gun. Some letter will come off easier than others. Just be patient cause that glue can be a pain in the ass to get off sometimes. Little more heat and some bug 'n tar did the trick for me! Good luck.

I agree, I droped my cl on eibach's 2"-1.75 and koni reds.with out adjustable ball joints. And my tires were smoked on both insides down to the steel in less than 1000 miles.put on spc's smaller camber kit and with 10,000 miles no uneven wear.Maybe some thining of the tred from spinning the tires.
