Thumbs up New Rims - Volk CE28N - Custom Paint it?

Picked up my new rims about a month ago, I'm looking to refinish them and possibly get them painted since it's such a flat silver. You can check out more pix through the link in my sig.

Probably will not make the lip a different color since it's a monoblock rim.

Feedback would be nice too.

I like the design of those
I think a liquid graphite-ish color like the new RJ Legends come in would look hot

better pictures.

i'm thinking about going with these in 17x8, but i'm going to order the polish silver color instead of the flat silver. mercury silver i believe is the color. if you dont mind, where/how much were they? they look like 19s?

they are 19"x8, check my sig for my recent photoshoot.
i got them cheap used.

these are extremely light, i believe they're 18-19 lbs w/o tires. that's so light.

i was thinking liquid graphit like the legends too. that's somewhat the same as black chrome but chrome is expensive and heavy

i wouldn't touch it. if you paint the wheel any color, eventually it'll chip and look like

powdercoat/chrome > paint.

I say silver, stands out very well. Black with chrome seems too common, and doesnt really show. gun metal's color is too light compare to body color

nooo black chrome is a dark tone of chrome. i dont want the black and chrome...

i had gold, liked it, but wasn't the direction i wanted to go. i don't htink these in gold would look nice.

black chrome.. not chrome =P.

think i'm leaning towards liquid graphite or black chrome.

these rims are pretty damn light, i like it. lighter than my sf-challenges which were smaller and narrower. sold already

EW, don't chrome volks, what is wrong with you people. the CE28N is one of the lightest wheels on the market, and race oriented, and you want to dip them in chrome??

i don't know if i agree completely with that statement. there's some volks that are offered in the Rays Metal Coat (RMC) finish, which is equivalent to a chrome. though iit costs about ~$600 more than a normal finish (per wheel), i think it actually looks pretty dang good.

I know for sure it was an option when I had my GT-Vs.

I just graduated from TCHS. Never been to PCC, not my car lol. Subtledreamer used to go to PCC... he transfered.

I'll be attending UCI this year.

As for the rims, i wouldn't bind BLACK chrome even if it adds weights. cltypeslow stated, i'm not "race" oriented and he's right. I wouldn't get 19"s if I was.

I might just refinish these wheels and powder coat them shinier silver or liquid graphite.

and yes this is mercury silver...

Kudos to you for thinking outside the box!!!

Don't paint!! Powdercoat!! Plenty of ppl to do that for you on the Left coast! High polish is another option, they'll be lighter!!

I don't think i want the lip a different color. its a monoblock... it's just look tacky to me. plus the le28n is the same as the ce28n except it has a polished lip or w/e.

what i meant was that i wouldn't chrome a volk by an outside place. if it COMES with the color, that's fine, their 'chrome' finishes are nice. but i have experience with powdercoating and chroming, and the finish is never the same, it looks cheap up close after awhile.

^co-sign.

lippstuh - by any means, i wouldn't want to compromise the construction of the volk wheel just because you want a different color wheel.

like i said before, i'd leave it be. the wheel looks fine, and i think it flows well with your car.

i'll just refinish them.. thanks guys
