New Mods

First off, where do we talk about performance mods? On the TL forums? Anyways I just got the 60 degree stat, P2R intake manifold gasket, and the P2R throttle body spacer. My question is did I waste my money? Or not really? Also, the spacer didnt come with any gaskets for each side, do I get oem gaskets or the P2R gaskets?

You did not waste you money but you are not going to feel a increase of performance with those mods with out combining others.
Get 2 p2r TB gaskets for your spacer.
To go with your new Tstat you should get a lower temp fan switch and a higher pressure radiator cap.
You want performance you can feel get pulleys, headers, intake.

Yeah I already have comptec intake, headers, exhaust, deleted cat, im just trying to get a little more out of my car. Im about to do my timing belt/water pump, should I get a set of pulleys? Crank/alt/ps. If I do I wouldnt get the underdrive pulley, just the lightened stock diameter pulley so I wouldnt have to buy another belt. But they do sell all the pulleys lightened, I know the crank pulley would make a difference but would the alt and p/s do anything?

The alt/ps/ac pulley is more for looks. The crank pulley is the one you will notice.

You wont feel anything from the tb spacer. As RP said, make sure you get a higher pressure rad cap and a cooler fan switch to go with the lower temp tstat.

And for performance, you can post in the general area. We dont have a dedicated performance subforum.

Just replace crank pulley. Others are more for show. You can port your tb, IM, and lower runners.

i bought the intake manifold spacer, throttle body spacer with dual gaskets(all P2R) and cleaned out my intake manifold and didnt feel a bit of difference at least at first. after a few days it seemed to have a little better response, but it did make my intake quieter

I forgot to mention that if your valves are very noisy you may want to try adjusting them. That effects performance much more then anything else.

I CONCUR WITH YOU ^^^

OH and as far as pulleys go, if you are doing the timing belt, then go ahead and do all the pulleys while you are in there. Yes, the crank alone is the main source to free up power, but if you do all of them supposedly you see an even more gain. But if you didnt do the crank and just did the accessories pulleys, then you really wouldnt tell...

The accessory pullies free up about 1hp for all three IIRC. Not worth the trouble, not to mention that many are not balanced properly which leads to bearing failure.
