need some help with suspention
just getting tired of the bouncy ride quality of the basics, they are just not stiff enough. I spoke to a mechanic and he told me something that didnt seem right regarding making it stiffer. I was under the assumption that i would have to buy the SS so i could adjust the dampaning. He stated that all i have to do is change the springs to make it stiffer. isnt it the shock that makes it stiffer or softer (dampening) not the springs....? Just needed to know what i really have to do to make it stiffer. do i really just buy springs or do i have to buy new coilovers....
Thanks
Thanks
springs carry ride hight and "stiffness"
struts CAN affect hight (coilovers) and stiffness (koni, tein, tockiko although this has to do with valveing, the stiffer it is the harder the struts have to work) but in the teins you would need to buy a stiffer spring

You can buy a stiffer spring rate for the TEIN Coilovers. You could also get the TEIN SS for damping (compression) adjustment which controls relatively how soft or firm the ride is.
