A little mod.

I know this might not belong in this tread so please excuse me but i thought i get a better response. I want to drop my car, but not to the point where the wheels will rub but pretty close. before i go see me mechanic friend i wanted to have a idea of what type of springs to get and if they would require a camber kit. Most importantly is what is a good ballpark figure on what it would cost me to do this. btw i have stock cls rims. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

If you do a H&R sport or Comptech drop, you should not need a camber kit and it should not rub. Any lower and you can have issues.

Click on the PICS link on my sig. Those pics are with the H&R sport drop.

First off your car looks stunning, really really nice. If i am correct those are TSX rims on one of the pictures, which would be 17's like my stock CLS. Does that picture with the TSX rims have the drop on them too ( i know dumb question.) what did it cost to drop the car if don't mind telling me and last what is the exact drop on the front and rear wheels. Thanks Alot

I was just looking at H&R springs and i saw OE sport springs with a 1" drop in the front and a 1 1/4" drop in the rear, i also saw H&R sport springs with a 1 3/4" drop in the front and 1 1/2" drop in the rear. I would like to get the sports with bigger drop but will that drop require a camber kit???

It shouldn't, but all cars are different. Most members don't need a camber kit with the HR Sports but I think there are a few out there that did.

H&R Sports = $127 shipped

Tokico Illuminas = $360 shipped

Install = $300

Total cost = $787

No rubbing, perfect drop, no camber kit required. Check out the pics at my website www.ccannizzaro.com/projectsmain.html

The pic with the TSX wheels is the H & R drop as well. Now he has the Tein SS though. It was roughly a two finger gap all around before the Teins.
As for cost, I don't know what he paid for the Teins (he bought them used), but I did the install for $100.
