help - shocks going bad already?

mods - I had this thread in the other section but got no repsonses so I'm tryin over here. Please delete the other one.

Anyway, I have had the Tokico Illuminas for about 1.5 years now and I'm starting to notice that when I go over little bumps or whatnot, I can hear the rear shocks make that "pish" sound. It's only on the rears though - the fronts are completely quiet. The ride is still fine.

Can the shocks be bad already? I had all of them put in at the same time.

Any input would be helpful.

well if your hearing a "pish"thats probly the gas coming out (not good obviously), but i can't see why they would be going bad... gotta think about it some more, good luck

I think that sound is normal. Lots of cars I drive have that sound in the front or rear or both. Even brand new ones. Maybe lube your rear suspension componets.

Maybe, maybe not. I'm not exactly sure of the sound, but I do know about gas leaking from the shocks. I've taken shocks off a car, and with one hand and hardly any pressure completely compressed it.
