Has anyone ever waxed thier wheels for protection?????
As I'm sure you all know, I just put on my new wheels. They are painted, so I was wondering if I could either zaino them or wax them to get a coat of protection????????

I try and put a fresh Zaino coat everyother wash in the summer, and usually lay it on the windows and wheels while I'm at it. Seems to look good to me. Haven't heard of any reason or harm it could do. SHAWN?? EricL?! Duane?! Homer?!

I always used ZAINO on my 2001 OEM wheels and they looked like new when I traded it in.
Of course avoiding CURBS had a lot to do with this as well.
I’m not quite sure what to use on my new BLING BLING’s.
Doe CHROME require something special?

I mean, I see stuff all over the place for chrome protection, but just don't know the best, but Z' works fine for now.

Got my rims/tires from tirerack.com and they sent a booklet along with all the info and they said to treat your rims just like you would your paint. They said it makes it easier for you to clean and a little more protection. So since they sat in my living room for almost a month I did it and I'm glad I did.....put them on Saturday and Sunday night we got a dusting of snow. Now we have sh*t on the streets

I wax my wheel with the cheapest wax u can find at pepboys. Basically it makes cleaning the brake dust a breeze. No caking on and comes off like butta.
BTW I also wax my windows, inside and outside. keeps water beeding during rain and no ice on the windows in the winter.

Polymers work the best on clearcoated wheels because the polymer can stand up to any heat generated on the wheel.

Zaino
About 2-3 coats every 6-months...
AND
I might switch to wheel wax (would take an hour or two to explain why [and would only concern people with SSR wheels])
