Got the bubble!

Damn - 21k miles and got a bubble in RF OEM Michelin! I live in near western suburban Chicago so. . . need all seasons. Do I bite the bullet and replace OEM or go for the Continental ContiExtremeContacts? I know they have a lower load rating but checked the forums and see some of you've had them for over a year. Comments please 'cause I need to do something in a day or two. Thanks in advance!

I replaced an oem with a bubble with a used oem that I bought from a member here in the black market.

I lost another tire to a pot hole, and then decided to buy 2 Yokohama V4's (all season). I've still got 2 oems that I'll replace when they pop/bubble/wearout.

If you look thru the tire forum, you'll find some threads about tire recommendations.

Unless you're leaking air, it will hold up for a while. No need to panic.

I also just got a bubble on the right front tire a few days ago, and I'm most likely going to replace all 4 with Sumitomo HTR+ as a temporary fix.

I did some calling around on Monday - noone has the Conti's in stock. I think I'm just going to replace the one damn Michelin.

I don't recommend the Sumo's. I have them on right now and have a bubble in the right front. I've had the bubble for about a month now.

Unless the tires mysteriously developed the bubbles on their own, I don't see your reasoning behind recommending against the Sumitomos.
