Fuzion ZRi tires review? (especially in the snow)
Anyone have these tires? give me your honest opinion, not your justification of buying them..
How many miles on them?
Wet traction?
Dry traction?
*snow* traction?
Tread wear?
Road noise?
tires staying in balance?
manufacturing flaws?
From what little I have heard from friends and the *one* review i could find with test results they seem to be good. But realworld feedback on the same car I'm putting them on would be interesting.
Thanks!

Fuzion ZRi's are pretty good tires, but NOT good in snow. My brother had them on his Integra. Fuzion's fame is from being the preferred sport compact tire on Pimp My Ride.
The Fuzion is considered an "Ultra-High Performance" tire and thus will be pretty dangerous in snow.
Dry traction was excellent, but not as sticky as say, a Falken GR-B, but then again not nearly as expensive. Wet traction is also very good, but you still want to be careful!
The tread design is pretty slick too!
Anway, it's a good bang for the buck!

It's a tire built by Bridgestone especially for the tuner market....its marketed as a bang for the buck tire. It's tread is derived from the Bridgestone family of Potenza tires which are their performance line. It's a good 3 season tire. Snow is not its forte...if you want a high performace 4 season tire at a reasonable price...look at Pirelli P0 Nero M+S or BFGoodrich GForce KDWS.

Hmm, OK. Kinda what I expected. We don't get a lot of snow here so if I have to go slow in it I'm not concerned. But if I cannot move in the snow I'll be a bit upset.
Anyone know the expected tread life?

thanks, I dug around and found it's "320 A A"
Although that entire grading system is a POS. Or the manufacturers are lying. My stock tires lasted 35k I barley got 20k out of the sumitomos, which had a *higher* rating than the michelins.
What a joke...
According to this I should get 48k out of these tires, I sure hope so. Because my last tires (sumitomo) barely made it 18k /w the same rating. The stock tires on the CLS agree with this formula, but obviously sumitomo is futzing some numbers....

Compare the Uniform Tire Quality Grading (UTQG) information for each brand of tires you are considering. The treadwear, traction, and temperature resistance grades listed can help you evaluate each tire. Make sure you compare apples with apples, tires with similar features (i.e., all season treads, speed ratings, premium construction, etc.). The treadwear grade can be used to estimate mileage. Take the a grade number of 300 and multiply by 150 mile per grade point and you would get 45,000 miles. (Treadwear grade x 150 miles per grade point = expected miles). This is the number of miles that can be reasonably expected from a tire when used in non-commercial service with a good driver and good maintenance
