Comptech or Eibach Sway Bars?

Do sway bars make a noticeable difference?
I was considering getting some Comptech's but I've heard Eibach's are just as reliable? Any feedback?

Yeah Eibachs are thicker and they don't cost more then like $20 more (plus the Eibachs are still being made and in good supply).

Every mm counts with sway bars. Yeah you'd notice a bit of difference if you drove them side by side.

I'd say Eibach's just because they're readily available unlike the CT's. I'd be tempted to try the Progress RSB for the 3rd Gen TL that Excelerate has if I didn't already have the Eibach's. I might do it eventually anyway.

install is simple, just takes time getting the bar itself in and out... remove the wheels thats for sure.

I havent really looked into the comptechs, but I know that...
neuspeed - front: 27mm ... rear: 19mm
eibach - front: 27mm ... rear: 23mm
and they're relatively close in price, I think a $20 difference?

so I'm going w/ the eibachs.

hey do the eibachs come with the new hangers?

i'm finding that comptechs stuff is way over priced. Theres stuff just as good or even better for 1/4th the price. Only thing CT's got that noone else does is the S/C...

i agree, comptech stuff imo are overpriced. Upgrading the front from stock=useless as the diameter is almost similar. So if you want to save $$, i suggest going with rear only. I remember reading on this forum somewhere, that the 3rd gen tl rear sways fits our 2nd cl/tl and being one bar, its alot cheaper than buying the Front and the Rear sways.

Don't bother spending the money for the front just to have a red front sway bar --- just get the rear. You will be happy you did.

thanks bobby, I'll look into that. I know theres only a good 2mm in diff for the front and eibach, but I'm willing to bet the eibachs are stuffer than the stockies?
I just got the cusco lower strut brace for the front (my front pretty stiff as it is), so I think I'll just stick with the 3g rear ct sway

btw, does anyone know what the 3g tl ct rear sways thickness is? ct is terrible about posting specs...

Not sure about others who say to get the rear bar only from the 3rd Gen TL, but I felt a significant difference between only installing the rear Eibach and driving around for about 2 weeks, then installing the front.

Get Eibach. The comptechs have snapped on some of us TL guys. The quality of comptech suspension is questionable. I have a comptech front and eibach rear. if i could do it again i would get eibach f/r. the kits is better designed too (bushings etc) oh and you will love the handling after.

eibach makes the best set. do it... do it....

the progress sway bar excelerate sells on this site is thicker than the CT one and has better bushings than the CT one. i would go with that if you're looking to upgrade.

Do you feel this is a valuable/worthwhile upgrade on a stock '01 cl-s without any other plans to change the suspension? Sounds like Eibach is the way to go right?

get either eibach or progress only. the comptech ones are the only other ones that are the larger sized, the rest are a waste of time. but comptech sways suck, they are over priced and shoddy workmanship.
