CL-S Michelin Pilot MXM4 Tires

Just an FYI to those out there looking to replace with the original tires. Costco (for those who have access and membership to one) is having a sale on a set of four Michelin tires. $191/tire (215-50-17) with $60 off of a set of 4. They provide the installation, lifetime balance/rotation, repair.

After taxes (6% in NJ), it comes out to be about 750. I know tirerack.com sells for $176/tire and you still have to pay for shipping and installation.

Damn... $750 for the stock tires? Ouch... I'd buy much better tires for that much money. Look into the Bridestone S0-3 Pole Positions... as good as the Michelin Pilots (the real pilots) for about $190 each. Or.. you could go Toyos or other brands that are cheaper and waaaay better then stock....

Good looking out though....

I can't believe they charge 191 for those. I guess since you can get 40k out of them but still these tires are not safe for a car like ours.

A little FYI, the tires at Costco aren't the same as the tires from a legit tireshop. I used to buy Michelins from them, and they had different model (that's why the tire guy said they weren't the real thing), and I tended to eat them up (aka only 20k miles out of a set). It was on a big ass Pariesienne boat, so it's not like any performance driving was happening.

Usually, the OEM and Costco types have cheaper rubber since the tires don't go through the entra process that ensures long tread life. Any tire shop will tell you the MXM4 from them will be way better than the ones that came with the car. Personally, they suck and I stay away from them.

Check out my sig, these tires are great. Awesome in rain and dry, and better than the OEM in the snow (4").

Randymax I'm with you too...got the Sumi's HTR+ in stock size about a month ago and now I feel like the car is performing like it should. Higly recommended.

So3's

I just bought another set of 4 (SO3's) at $174.00 each at Big-O tires. They matched Tirecrap.com ! $194.00 is too much ! 225/45/17 btw.
